Boundless Comfort and Endless Delights

Unlimited Drinks and Gourmet Cuisine

Stepping into Emirates Business Class felt like entering a realm of unparalleled comfort and sophistication. As you entered the aircraft (after priority boarding of course…), there was juice and water waiting for you and a lovely member of the cabin crew who came to introduce themselves to you. I can’t remember the name of the woman we had, but she was super friendly and helpful and always had a smile on her face.

They had a huge range of drinks on offer – from fine wines to expertly crafted cocktails, mocktails and fresh coffee – there were drinks catered to every palate, and they were unlimited. We each had a glass of champagne, lots of soft drinks (cucumber fizz was my go-to) and bottled water on the flights to keep ourselves balanced.

The food was equally impressive, with a menu that featured an array of dishes inspired by various world cuisines. The attention to detail and quality of the food were commendable, turning our in-flight dining into a memorable event. Before the in-flight meal, they came and set the table with a tablecloth; you get real cutlery and a real plate instead of the tiny plastic tray and plastic cutlery that we were normally used to. I must admit, we did feel pretty fancy.

Lie-Flat seats for Tranquil Slumber

After a series of unfortunate events including a disappointing hotel stay and a delayed flight before we got onto this flight, the lay-flat seats in Emirates Business Class were a saving grace. These luxurious seats reclined all the way down so that you could actually lie down. The hostess came around with a mattress topper that you could add onto your seat for extra comfort, plus you had a thicker blanket, a plump pillow, an eye mask, ear plugs and socks that you could use as well for a super-charged sky-high slumber. This allowed us to catch up on much-needed rest during the seven-hour flight, ensuring we arrived in Dubai rejuvenated and ready for our next flight.

The Price of Luxury: Is It Worth the Investment?

Emirates Business Class undoubtedly offers a level of luxury that surpasses expectations, but it's important to address the investment it requires. Travellers often wonder whether the splurge is truly worth it. From our perspective, we can say that the experience of flying Emirates Business Class is more than just a seat upgrade; it's an investment in comfort, convenience, and an unforgettable journey.

It did set us back £650 each, just for the upgrade, so it was not cheap, but we definitely don’t regret splurging. It was nice to leave Asia after seven months in style, and lying down… it almost felt like a shame to sleep through the flight as we wanted to stay awake and just enjoy being in Business Class!

While we recognise that extra legroom might have sufficed, the sheer indulgence, comfort, and attention to detail that this class offers make it an experience we would recommend without hesitation.
